  • Do you have experience with ULX and FAdmin? If so, please explain the extent of your experience.

    • Yes, I can comfortably say I have a significant amount of experience with both of these things. Though this is frankly redundant for most of the people that will be reading this I was the head of staff for several of the previous projects of this particular group of people.

  • Why do you think you are qualified for the Kessel Staff Team?

    • See previous question, as well as the fact that most of the server is already aware of me. I would say that my previous experience in similar positions has provided me the experience required. I would also be remiss not to mention that this exact application format was originally designed by me.

  • Do you think you are more qualified than others for this position? If yes, explain. If no, explain to your best ability. (This question is lenient on the three sentence rule)

    • Quite honestly no. There are plenty of people within this community who hold equivalent recognition and ability in this regard.  

  • Why do you want this position?

    • I see no point in hiding behind falsehoods. Honestly I just see this as the next obvious step. There have been a couple situations where I have operated as a sudo staff member already, and I figure it makes sense to make it official.

  • What do you think you can bring to the Staff Team? (What is/are your best qualities?)

    • The primary thing I would bring to the staff team is quite simple. I fully expect this to get me into some hot water with some of the high staff. I believe that I could bring some much needed “willingness to pull the trigger” if you will.

  • Do you have any experience with staffing? If yes, elaborate. If no, disregard the three-sentence requirement.

    • Yes. Several months of DarkRP staffing to start with. This is followed quickly by several years worth of helping run staff teams for this exact group of people.

  • Rate yourself on a scale from one to ten on your abilities to follow directions and pay attention to detail. Explain your rating.

    • 8. No one is perfect, and I the least so but I would still rate my ability to do these things quite well. It is important in staff teams to be able to pickup on the subtle nuances of the complaints people have, so that you may appropriately judge the situation. I also would like to think I have a fairly clean track record for following orders, especially in RP.




Situational Questions

  • You witness two players arguing over a small or trivial issue, what do you do?

    • I politely ask them to drop the subject as it’s frankly not worth the effort. I then tell them that if they must continue they should take it to somewhere more private, like DMs.

  • A player calls for RDM in the admin chat, but the killbox has no display of anyone killing anyone else, what do you do?

    • I’ll do a double check within the console and the logs, just to make sure that my initial reaction is correct. I would then ask the offending player to not use the admin chat in vain.

  • A group of players have legitimate complaints about the way you handle things, how do you respond to this?

    • This is admittedly a situation I am not unfamiliar with. I have found that the best solution to this problem is to allow them to voice their concerns, take notes on what they are saying, and bring anything I disagree with past some other people I trust just to make sure I’m not insane.

  • Someone is trying to give you advice, but you need to deal with something real quick first, how do you tell them you need to do something, without making it seem like you are trying to dodge their criticism?

    • I have found it’s best to be completely honest with them. Literally tell them “Hey, I gotta take care of something for the server/IRL/etc. Real quick, i’ll be right back and I’d love to continue this conversation.” And such to that effect.

  • Someone is criticizing your work, how do you respond?

    • That depends on whether it’s constructive criticism, or destructive. If it’s constructive, I will hear it and see if they have anything to provide. If it’s destructive, I’m going to tell them as such and ask that if they do want to complain at me, they come back with a much more level head and do so. For now however, I’ve got more important shit to do than listen to them bitch pointlessly.

  • You are helping a GameMaster with an event for whatever reason, there are other staff on, but someone wants to talk to you personally instead, how do you respond?

    • I will ask them if it’s of particular immediate importance, and state that I would be more than happy to help them with it after the event. If it is of immediate importance I’ll ask if someone else could possibly help them with it, if for whatever reason their answer is no to that I’ll find the next good gap with the Game Master to help them quickly if possible. I’ve found in most cases though this kind of situation turns out to be a false alarm and can wait until after.

  • Do you understand that failure to answer any of these questions correctly can result in the denial of your application?

    • Yes

  • Do you accept that the Head Of Staff holds power to remove you from the staff team at any moment if he sees you unfit to hold the position?

    • Yes

  • Do you accept that being a part of the staff team holds you to higher intelligence and common sense standards than that of a random player?

    • Yes

  • Do you accept that being a part of the staff team should not be abused, and the moment you are found abusing it you will be removed from it?

    • Yes

  • Do you accept that failure to serve your part correctly in the staff team will lead to your dismissal?

    • Yes

  • Do you accept the rules of Application, and do you meet the requirements?

    • I do believe so.

I (surprisingly) agree with Shapiro on this one.
However I would like to mention something he didn't.
I do not believe “willingness to pull the trigger” is "much needed." Almost all situations I've witnessed in which this kind of action was thought to be needed, the issue was resolved. Everyone deserves some time to improve. Also, as you've said, you are a pessimist, which I do not feel fits the staff position well. I'm confident you are going to be accepted anyway due to how well known you are, but that's my opinion.

Could I possibly ask two things real quick, just so that I know I'd like to know who this actually is on the server, as frankly the name "Thicc Fetus" doesn't help much. Second, I'd like to ask for examples of such situations if you would be willing. Just trying to understand the logic.

Though your by no means obligated to answer, I'm curious if you could elaborate on the Subpar answers bit? I see what your getting at for the rest of it, but that one I feel perhaps I could learn more.

Side Note: Though you may perceive it as a forced tone shift, I believe that the topic of how well known I am as well as my past are completely irrelevant in my self-evaluation against the other people here. Wasn't intending to come of as self important more than just stating a history, so I appologize if it came off that way.

Status - Denied
